A Geo. III Grant of Arms to Charles Purvis of Darsham in the County of Suffolk, giving him the right to use the arms illustrated, 14th May, 1779, signed by Thomas Browne, Garter Principal of Arms and Ralph Bigland Clarenceaux King of Arms

Oblong folio on vellum with watercolour headpiece and coat of arms, with two silk ribbons and japanned tin cases holding seals, still intact, contained in it's contemporary hinged wooden box, covered in tooled brown morocco, shaped in the form of the deed with the two compartments for the seals at the bottom
