A rare set of mid 18th Century naturalistic rococo teaspoons by John (I) Derussat, the branch stems with two outset leaves, the larger as the handle, cast with an acorn, the bowl as a leaf, front and reverse, with slight serated edge, each stamped with makers mark JD and acorn, no other marks which is consistent with this type of flatware, circa 1750

 

John (I) Derussat was a Huguenot silversmith and is considered the most important silversmith in the naturalistic rococo style, he made many important pieces
