A Bough Pottery sugar bowl

A Bough Pottery circular sugar bowl by Elizabeth Amour, the flared rim decorated with a band of stylised foliage, on a dotted ground, with a wide band of flowerheads below, with a gilded interior,  the base inscribed 'E.A. 1915' and 'Bough'  in black (hairline grack to inside of foot rim)

Elizabeth Amour was a Glasgow Girl - she attended the Glasgow School of Art from 1908 - 1912.  After that she settled in Edinburgh and set up Bough Pottery in 1942
